Katrina Kaif is Salman Khan’s tigress, again

Salman Khan is back on the big screen, come 15 August with Yash Raj Films’ Ek Tha Tiger, directed by Kabir Khan. And he’s got his ex-girlfriend, Katrina Kaif for company as his on screen tigress.

The last celluloid outing for the duo was Bodyguard, in which Katrina played herself in a song — a special appearance in the film. Ek Tha Tiger sees Salman and Katrina play off screen time as a leading pair in a story that is about an agent called Tiger, played by Salman.

Ek Tha Tiger traces the story of an agent that shook the very foundation of the dark world of intelligence and espionage, replete with mystery, romance and the ferocity of a thriller, Bollywood style.

Salman and Katrina have always worked well together on screen, right from Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya to Partner to Yuvraaj, never mind the latter’s dismal outcome at the box office.

There has been immense interest in the pair, on and off screen, ever since they started dating. And today, even though they are not a couple anymore, the audience interest does not seem to have waned at all. If anything, there is palpable excitement to see them together, on screen.

Ek Tha Tiger releases worldwide on Independence Day this year and needless to add, is one of the most anticipated releases of 2012.
