Kartik Aaryan to play veteran actor Sanjeev Kumar's role in remake of Pati, Patni aur Woh

Kartik Aaryan is set to essay Sanjeev Kumar’s role in a modern day take on 1978’s Pati, Patni aur Woh. The film follows Ranjeet Chaddha, a middle aged married man who has an extra-marital affair with his secretary Nirmala Deshpande (played by Ranjeeta Kaur). He makes her believe that his wife is terminally ill and they will soon be able to marry after she passes. In a hilarious turn of events, his lies are eventually exposed after his suspicious wife played by Vidya Sinha busts him. While the core of the story will still remain the same, the makers have contemporised it so it will appeal to every day audience,” a source close to the development told Mirror. While prep has already kickstarted, the film will start shooting in Mumbai from February, the source added. The makers are also finalising the two actresses who will portray the wife and the secretary. Kartik was last seen in _Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety_ , which crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office_._ He  wrapped up shooting for romantic comedy Luka Chuppi, also starring Kriti Sanon in September.
