Kareena Kapoor's 36th birthday bash: See how Karisma, Ranbir, Saif helped celebrate

Kareena Kapoor Khan turned 36 on Wednesday, 21 September, and there was no loud, glitzy party for the mommy-to-be. Instead, it was a quiet, intimate family gathering for Kapoor and her husband Saif Ali Khan. The actress’ sister Karisma Kapoor was by her side at the bash, which also saw her close friends Malaika Arora Khan and Amrita Arora Ladak in attendance. Saif Ali Khan’s daughter, Sara, also made it to the party. Interestingly, it was a small reunion of sorts for the Kapoor family – while Kapoor’s parents Randhir and Babita were present, the otherwise reclusive Ranbir Kapoor joined his cousin on her big day. Others from the first family of Bollywood included Kunaal Kapoor, Karan Kapoor, Rima Jain, Armaan and Aadar Jain. Karisma Kapoor gave us a peek into all that went down at the private affair as she posted some inside pictures on her Instagram account.

Arora too shared some pictures from Kapoor’s birthday night.

The Udta Punjab actress, who is expecting her first child in December, chose a black ensemble for the night. She teamed the outfit, boasting sheer details on the back, with a top-knot and statement earrings. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Khan will whisk Kapoor away to Dubai next week for a quick getaway. The couple intends to spend some ‘we-time’ before Kapoor enters the final trimester of her pregnancy.
