Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to return back to the theatres with her upcoming film ‘Crew’ alongside actresses like Kriti Sanon and Tabu. In the last few years, the actress surprised audiences by taking on some unconventional rules that are not just about her “good looks, good looks, and good looks.” The actress recently opened up about how the Indian audience has become more accepting, further riding that she feels “content to be in her 40s and does not want to go back to being 21.”

Speaking at an ABP event, Kareena shared how the audience has become acceptable and said, “Age is just a number, it’s as old as you look, you have to be fit, you have to look good because it’s a visual medium so we have to look after ourselves.”

‘I feel happier and calm in my 40s’

The Crew actress also shared that she feels more happier and more calm in her 40s and that she doesn’t want to be 21 again. “I don’t want to ever be a 21-year-old again, I’m very happy. At 21, I was so much more hyper, and anxious and I am much calm, and I am in a happy place in my 40s,” she said.

Kareena further explained why such an acceptance has come across, crediting it to actresses like Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan, and Kangana Ranaut. She hailed the actresses for bringing a change in how women actresses are perceived in the industry. “They have changed a lot of dynamics on many levels, like demanding a certain role, a certain fee, or position. Today, things are different,” she stated.
