Karan Johar unveils first-look of his twins Yash and Roohi on Raksha Bandhan

Karan Johar is known for his larger-than-life films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and much recently Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which are generally equipped with mammoth sets, dreamy costumes and an enviable star-cast that comprise Bollywood’s A-listers. All his films are always hugely anticipated among numerous desi as well as NRI fans. So it’s no wonder, when his  twins were born (via surrogacy) , it’s created a bit of a media storm. On this Raksha Bandhan, Johar took to Twitter and posted pictures of his children, who he had previously called  “finest Dharma’s productions.”  The picture also features Johar’s mother, Hiroo Johar.

A Mumbai Mirror report stated that Johar had named his son Yash (after his father) and daughter, Roohi (a re-arrangement of his mother Hiroo’s name). Johar is not the only celebrity in Bollywood to be a single father via surrogacy. In 2016, Tusshar Kapoor too had a son, Lakshya, via IVF. Other celebrities to have had children through IVF surrogacy include Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao and Shah Rukh Khan-Gauri Khan.
