The New Year fever is high among Bollywood celebrities, with most of them ringing in 2024 and enjoying their vacations in different picturesque locations. While most of the Tinsel Town celebs are dropping glimpses of their holidays on social media, Karan Johar shared a cute picture with one of her good friends Rani Mukerji. Posting the picture, the director also addressed trolls and shared what he learned in 2023.

In the picture, Karan posed for a selfie with Rani Mukerji. The duo twinned in black. Notably, Karan’s post comes after the director, time and again, has been called out for being a flagbearer of nepotism, his fashion choices, and sexual preferences. Recently, he gave it back to one of his trolls who asked him to bring a daughter-in-law for the ‘timepass’ of his mother Hiroo Johar.

In a savage response, he wrote, “Of all the crazy trolls, the abuse and judgement I get about my life choices and my way of being, I find comments like these the most offensive. Firstly, no “bahu” should be a time pass for anyone’s mother… a bahu is a label which comes with ridiculous regressive baggage… she is an individual in her own right and can pass her time how she likes personally and professionally.”

Karan Johar, one of the most celebrated directors and producers in Bollywood, has delivered several hit films, including Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, over the past few years. The actor, recently, participated in a round-table conversation where he made some shocking confessions about the lengths that producers go to ensure the success of their projects.

Recently, speaking to Galatta Plus, Karan said, “Many times we also as PR send our own people and praise the film and all that happens. Sometimes you are struggling to make a mark,” adding that “As a producer, you will make every last-ditch attempt to make your film be heard.”
