Months after announcing a brand-new show with the streaming giant Netflix, the beloved stand-comedian Kapil Sharma is finally here with his long-awaited project. Titled ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show,’ the show will see Kapil Sharma uniting with none other than Sunil Grover, followed by friends cum colleagues like Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur, and Archana Puran Singh. On Thursday, makers shared an official promo of the show featuring all the lead members, showing them various ways to announce the name of their upcoming show, which is set to premiere on 30 March 2024 at 8 PM.
As the video plays, the group can be seen engaging in a hilarious conversation, giving some unique ideas for the title announcement. While Kapil begins by stating that they should announce the show in a big way to make it go viral, Archana Puran Singh suggests revealing it on Times Square, Burj Khalifa, or Big Ben. Next, Krushna Abhishek shares his idea to reveal the title of the Gateway of India.
This is when Rajeev Thakur quips that their budget has fallen short due to Sunil Grover’s comeback, thus dropping the cue for Grover’s arrival, who makes a hero-style entry. Next, as Kiku Sharda suggests the idea of ‘skywriting’, Sunil Grover hilariously took a dig at Kapil and said, “plane se durr rehte hai.”
Later, the comedian was also seen taking a jibe at Krushna Abhishek over the joke of being a ‘starkid’. Amid all of these, the banner of The Great Indian Kapil Show can be seen being brought into the background.

As soon as the announcement was made, fans got pretty excited, sharing their reactions in the comment section. Many have been eagerly waiting for the comedian to return and, of course, for the much-needed reunion between Kapil and Grover following their ugly fallout a few years ago. The show was originally announced in December 2023, adding much to the fans’ excitement.
In the meantime, Kapil Sharma is also gearing up for his next film with Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu starrer Crew.
