Suvendu Ghosh, who has also directed several Bollywood movies, has come up with a Bengali-language movie, “Kapal,” which is one of the finest movies of the year.
The story revolves around Kanai Majhi, a lower middle-class person. Hard work is what motivates him, and his beloved family is the center of his universe. He makes a living by driving the Toto car in the adjacent industrial region, although living in a secluded village. He can’t believe that he won millions of Rupees in a lottery. Particularly for someone like him who has to work hard to make ends meet! Kanai becomes a household name overnight, and people gather here to catch a peek of him. Now, the area is humming with curious individuals and exuberant parties! The family of Kanai is currently being held captive by hostile guests and a situation that is changing quickly. The issue is now out of control. Alongside the opportunists, politicians, influencers, and agents are pouring in. Kanai, who is naturally brave and kind-hearted, is currently experiencing a serious dilemma. The honesty and simplicity of our Kanai and his family are now under threat from the chaos caused by opportunists and avaricious parasites. Can he get out of this situation?
Raja Sarkar, who plays Kanai, has demonstrated his skills and earned his role. He’s just an excellent actor. In addition to him, actress Sukanya Dutta excelled in her portrayal of Moyna, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. The film’s main draw is Kanchana Moitra’s portrayal of Swapna Mondal. Kanchana has a strong acting style. She consistently captures the audience’s interest when she appears on screen. Her facial expressions and language delivery are astounding. Apart from them, other artists have also done a good job and made their presence felt.
This film demonstrates the charisma of Suvendu Ghosh’s direction. Every little detail in the frame has been taken care of by him. Ghosh, who has previously directed popular Hindi films, is aware of the scenes’ needs and created this powerful Bengali film for the Indian market.
Overall, this is one of the heartwarming, eye-catching story of struggle and love.
