Actor Kangana Ranaut’s latest movie “Emergency” will release in theatres on June 14, the makers announced on Tuesday.
The movie, also written and directed by Ranaut , features the actor in the role of former prime minister Indira Gandhi. “’Emergency’ is my most ambitious project and second directorial post-’Manikarnika’, we have the best of Indian and international talent come together for this big budget, grand period drama,” the actor said in a statement. All About Emergency The movie is inspired by the infamous Indian Emergency and will see Kangana Ranaut essaying the role of the former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. In addition to this, Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry and Milind Soman have also been roped in for significant roles in the drama. Bankrolled by Manikarnika Films and EaseMyTrip, the songs and background score of the film have been provided by G. V. Prakash Kumar. Why the film was postponed The Tejas star said given the constant changes in her schedule, they had taken the decision to alter the release date for Emergency, “We have announced Emergency release date as 24th November 2023 but because of all the changes in my back to back releasing films calendar and over packed last quarter of 2024 we have decided to shift Emergency to next year (2024),” she said.
