We have a new celebrity that Twitter has taken down, and this time it’s the veteran Tamil actor, Kamal Haasan.
After Jayalalithaa’s demise on Monday, 5 December, several celebrities took to Twitter to pay tribute to the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J. Jayalalitha, as did Haasan.
Kamal Haasan’s condolence message was tweeted in Tamil and got him quite a bit of backlash. The tweet reportedly translates to, “I feel for the people those who are dependent on her. Deep condolences to those concerned.”
At no point in time does Twitterati spare you if you upset them and here’s how the users outraged this time along.
exactly, basic manners should be there, hatred after death doesn't look good for the common man, @ikamalhaasan

However, the actor tweeted out his condolences in English, the day after. Let’s hope this acts like his saving grace!
