DNA reports that Rajinikanth and Shankar have personally sent an invitation to Haasan asking him to be present at the music launch on 27 October. Haasan has not denied or accepted the invitation yet.

The same report states that Shankar likes to attract global attention at his music launch. For the music release of I, he had invited Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger. For 2.0, he wants Rajinikanth and Haasan on the same platform.

Haasan is currently focusing on completing Shabash Naidu which has been in the making for a long time. After that, he will join Shankar for Indian 2. This film will most likely see the comeback of Senapathy, the lead character from Indian.

While all the details of what is being reported as the 'biggest musical launch ever' are still to be disclosed, it has been confirmed that the music composer A R Rahman will perform live at the 2.0 music launch.

2.0 also stars Amy Jackson, Akshay Kumar and Adil Hussain. It is produced by Lyca Productions and is slated to release this Republic Day on 26 January, 2018.
