Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD is in no mood to slow down at the box office. After a record-breaking extended weekend, the mythological sci-fi epic remained super strong on the weekdays.
The film earned Rs 141.65 crore in six days and is set to enter the Rs 150 crore club today. By raking in Rs 13 crore yesterday, Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi) emerged as the highest 1st Tuesday grosser of 2024 beating Hrithik Roshan’s (another Deepika Padukone starrer) Fighter (Rs 6.35 crore) and Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan (Rs 6.57 crore) by a huge margin.
Since there are no big releases this Friday except for a mid-sized Kill, Kalki is expected to reach the Rs 200 crore mark in its 2nd weekend.
Talking about the review, Firstpost gave Kalki 2898 AD 3 stars and wrote, “The best part of Kalki 2898 AD is the way the story is woven taking the best of mythology and science and making us think. The movie stresses on Mahabharata’s core themes – dharma (righteousness) and karma (consequences of actions) – in the context of a future society with its complex moral landscape and the connection of universal concepts and societal structures.”
