Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured after an intruder attacked him with a knife at his residence in Mumbai earlier this year.
“An unknown person entered actor Saif Ali Khan ’s residence and argued with his maid, late last night. When the actor tried to intervene and pacify the man, he attacked Saif Ali Khan and injured him. Police are investigating the matter,” said Mumbai Police.

On Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s show on Prime Video, the Omkara actor said, “I got stabbed in my neck, and there was blood everywhere. Taimur told me, ‘Are you going to die?’ I said, no, I don’t think so.”
At this point, Kajol got up and gave his Hamesha co-star a hug and got emotional. One netizen wrote on the video- ‘A real hero.’
After receiving information about the incident, the Bandra police reached the spot and launched an investigation, he said.
Niraj Uttamani, Lilavati Hospital’s chief operating officer revealed that Saif Ali Khan was hospitalised at 3: 30am in January with six injuries of which two are deeper.
“One of the injuries is closer to his spine. Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain, and anaesthetist Nisha Gandhi are operating on him. We will be able to tell the extent of the damage only after the surgery is done,” he said.
Kareena Kapoor’s team shared an official statement, which read, “There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police is already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern.”
