Kaala: 15-second scene from Rajinikanth's forthcoming gangster drama leaked online
A 15-second video from Rajinikanth's forthcoming film Kaala, has leaked online. The makers have registered a complaint with the Chennai cyber cell
Multiple reports have claimed that the leaked scene, in which Rajinikanth is apparently fighting off goons, is the climax of the film. However, Vinod Kumar, executive producer, has refuted these claims, saying that the scene is not the peak and wouldn't affect the overall story at all.
Currently, the makers are trying to minimise whatever damage that has been done. The scenes are being taken down from social media sites, particularly YouTube. The cyber crime branch is also trying to join the dots and nab the culprit as soon as possible.
Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, who is making her Tamil Debut with Kaala, expressed her disappointment in a statement given to the publication. “It’s so unfair given the hard work everyone puts into a film. Piracy is toxic and I hope the necessary action is taken," she says.
The gangster film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Anjali Patil, Samuthirakani and Nana Patekar. The story is set in the 80s and revolves around a Tamilian, who comes to the city and becomes the don of Dharavi. Patekar is playing the villain in the film. The film hits the theatres on 27 April.
