Justin Bieber vs Selena Gomez: Singer deletes Instagram account after tiff with ex-girlfriend

While we were busy celebrating a long weekend and a national holiday, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez spent theirs’ trading backhanded insults on Instagram. Image courtesy: Getty Images[/caption] The tiff between the ex-lovers started when Justin Bieber posted a series of photos with his new rumoured girlfriend, Sofia Richie. The two recently took a trip to Japan together to promote Bieber’s new album Purpose: The Moment. It looked like Bieber’s fans or ‘Beliebers’ didn’t take kindly to the appearance of Nicole Richie’s step-sister on his social media account. Bieber stood up for his lady love and threatened to make his Instagram account private if the abuse from his fans directed towards Sofia Richie continued. He wrote “I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand” on a picture he posted on Instagram. “If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.” Selena Gomez, Bieber’s ex-girlfriend, decided to participate in the conversation and commented below the picture telling him to stop posting photos of his girlfriend if he didn’t want a backlash. She wrote: “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol - it should be special between you two only.Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you and supported you before any one ever did.” Bieber hit back accusing the ‘Same Old Love’ singer of using him to become famous. “It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way,” he wrote. “Sad. All love.” He then posted another comment which said: “I’m not one for anyone receiving hate. Hope u all can be kind to my friends and each other. And yes I love my Beliebers.”

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had an on-and-off relationship from 2011 until they finally split up in 2014, although they have been spotted and photographed together several times since then. But Bieber seems to have gone a step further than making his account private. This is what you see when you search for Justin Bieber’s account now.
