Remember that crazy video with All India Bakchod, Kanan Gill, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Aditi Mittal, the East India Company and other YouTube comedians brainstorming to find new comedy talent that could be produced for the video-hosting platform?

The video was uploaded almost four months ago, and now, after various tasks and challenges over the weeks, Comedy Hunt, India’s first web hunt for comedy stars, has found its winner.

Random Chikibum took home the top prize competing against 1,578 entries (40 of which were shortlisted) from over 60 cities. After weekly eliminations, Weird communications, Take 900 , Funny Brownies, Forked up and Random Chikibum made it to the top five.

Announcing the winner AIB said, “When we started AIB, comedy was lesser known and looked down upon. But today we have come a long way and with pit stops such as Comedy Hunt, the race for being the king of comedy is truly rewarding.”

On winning the competition, the quartet of comedians, said the award was a 'dream come true'. “What started as a source of laughter in closed rooms is today a recognised art on the digital platform," they added.
