One distinct feature that stood out in David Dhawan's 1997 comedy Judwaa, besides Salman Khan's double role, was its music. Songs like 'Tan Tana Tan' and 'Oonchi Hai Building' were an instant rage.

Now, twenty years later, Judwaa 2 will retain the two popular songs from its prequel.

Deccan Chronicle reports that the two songs will be shot on the lead trio - Varun Dhawan, Taapse Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez. Pannu and Varun will leave for London in a few days to start the first shooting schedule of the film.

Pinkvilla reports that Pannu's character will be seen in a college romance with one of Varun's twin characters. On the other hand, Fernandez will play a rowdy girl from Mumbai and will be seen romancing the second character of Varun. After the London schedule wraps up, the trio will shoot for the two songs in Mumbai.

Though the two catchy songs from the prequel have been retained in Judwaa 2, the makers have not approached the music composer of the Judwaa, Anu Malik, to compose the songs for the sequel. Another report by Deccan Chronicle reports that though Malik is happy about Judwaa 2 being made, he is disappointed that the makers did not approach him for the sequel. He feels that for such sequels, it is a wise idea to sign the original music composer in order to retain the essence of the franchise.

Judwaa 2 will also feature cameos from Khan and Karisma Kapoor. It is directed by Varun's father David Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is slated to release on 29 September.

Prior to that, Varun will be seen in another sequel, Shashank Khaitan's romantic comedy Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Pannu will be seen in Shivam Nair's action thriller Naam Shabana. Both films are slated to release next month on 10 March and 31 March respectively.
