Judwaa 2 box office report: Varun Dhawan's entertainer inches towards 60 crore mark
The David Dhawan directorial collected an impressive Rs 15.5 crore on its opening day, goosing it to the fourth spot on the biggest openings of 2017 list.
The crucial Monday test remains to be taken, however, considering its triumphant weekend run, it is safe to say that this potboiler is here to stay.
Maintaining its tenacity at the box office, Judwaa 2 made Rs 20.55 crore on Saturday, which is more than its opening day collection. On Sunday, the film surpassed its previous days' collections, raking in a humongous Rs 22.60 crore.
Here are trade analyst Taran Adarsh's figures:

Although the film is receiving mixed-reviews from critics, many stating that it has nothing on the original, Salman Khan starrer, the film continues its successful run. The numbers are expected to keep skyrocketing, since it is a holiday today, i.e., 2 October.
It is interesting to note that this reboot of the 1997 original, has trumped the opening day earnings of Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal, which raked in Rs 15.25 crore on the first day of release.
