Even as talks of Dishoom crossing Rs 35 crore are making headlines, John Abraham has already suggested the making of a sequel to the film. At an event on Sunday, the actor said that if the film does well they will plan for a sequel.
“Me and Varun were having a discussion that if this movie runs well, then we surely plan for Dishoom part 2. We want to take the Dishoom series forward. My jodi with Varun is very special,” he said to ANI.
Box Office numbers state that Dishoom has had the sixth highest box office opening among films in 2016. Sultan, Airlift, Baaghi are some of the films in that list.
Trade reports state that Dishoom had a good start on Friday, with an opening day collection of Rs 11 crore, from India screens alone. It earned an additional Rs 3 crore from the UAE territory.
The total box office collections of Dishoom after its opening weekend now stand at Rs 36+ crore.
