'Jawan' director Atlee thanks Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan with a throwback video from ASTRA Awards

Atlee-directed Jawan emerged as one of the biggest hits in 2023. Jawan not only marked Shah Rukh Khan’s second big hit after Pathaan last year but also broke several records at the box office, further creating new ones. Now, adding another feather to its cap, Jawan earned special recognition by becoming the sole Indian nominee in the Best International Feature category at the ASTRA Awards. The director attended the award ceremony with his wife Priya, which was held in January this year at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. While the film failed to bag the trophy after losing to Anatomy of Fall, Atlee recently took to his social media handle and shared a few glimpses from the event. Atlee shared a throwback video on Instagram, that shows the director giving interviews on the red carpet. Along with that, he also did not forget to express gratitude toward Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan for believing in him with the movie. “Thank you Astra awards @hollywoodcreativealliance #jawan Thank you @iamsrk sir @gaurikhan Mam @redchilliesent, my team, @priyaatlee,” he wrote.

Atlee at the ASTRA Awards  Organised by the Hollywood Creative Alliance, the 7th Astra Awards took place on 6 January 2024 in Los Angeles. Just a month after the award ceremony, Atlee gave glimpses of his time spent at the ceremony, in the company of his wife. As the video plays, Atlee can be seen posing for photos in front of the Astra Awards background while also interacting with the media on the red carpet. Dressed in a white and sharp tuxedo, Atlee looks dashing, while his wife looks beautiful in a stylish saree. While talking to the media the director said, “Being humble. You have to respect everyone and you have to be humble in life, just not by pretending,” as quoted by ETimes. Besides that, the video also features a glimpse of his table at the award show. About Jawan Directed by Atlee Kumar, Jawan features actors Shah Rukh, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Girija Oak, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya in significant roles. The film also has actors Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in cameos.
