Jawan box office: Shah Rukh Khan starrer set to cross Aamir Khan's Dangal to emerges fifth highest grosser of all time

Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara starrer Jawan continues to shatter records with its phenomenal run at the box office. On its first Wednesday, the massy-actioner raked in around Rs 21.50 crore yesterday and currently stands with a grand total of Rs 366.08 crore (all versions). While the film has already surpassed the lifetime business of Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 320.34 crore), Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 339.16 crore), PK (Rs 340.8 crore) & Sanju (Rs 342.53 crore), it will surpass Aamir Khan’s Dangal (Rs 387.39 crore) by today or tomorrow to emerge as the fifth highest grosser of all time after Pathaan (Rs 543.05 crore), Gadar 2 (Rs 515.03), Baahubali 2 (Rs 510.99) and KGF 2 (Rs 434.70 crore).

Talking about the review, Firstpost gave the film 4 stars and wrote, “Atlee, known to be a massy director, gives the audiences exactly what they want. He and also our favourite SRK knows exactly how to get the audiences back to the theatres. They provide what the audience demands, which is a true masala potboiler with a hidden meaning. I won’t say this was SRK’s best performance, Pathaan was undoubtedly better. But the finesse with which he carries his age is remarkable. Again, this is different too as he is portraying multiple characters.”
