In a candid conversation with Aaj Tak, Janhvi Kapoor was asked to review _The Archies_. The Dhadak actress applauded her sister’s performance, adding that she advised her to be prepared for hate but not forget herself in the process. She said, “Yes, I did. I think that she did such a wonderful job at being honest. When I was talking to her, I told her to be prepared for hate but not to forget herself in the process. I wish someone said this to me. I wish someone told me to try looking at the people that value you, like you because believing the bad is always easier.”

She went on to add how she and her sister, Khushi, question themselves about a lot of things. Admitting that it’s much easier to believe the person who has negative comments for you than the one appreciating you, Janhvi Kapoor said, “It takes a lot of self-confidence to believe someone who says the right thing. Me and my sister, at times, we question ourselves a lot. I told her ‘Don’t lose yourself, don’t be jaded because you’ve been very honest.” Janhvi said that Khushi looked ‘real’ in front of the camera adding that the character was innocent.

The Archies explores the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel, and Dilton who live in Riverdale. While Khushi played Betty in the film, Agastya Nanda essayed the character of Archie Andrews. Meanwhile, Suhana Khan played the role of Veronica Lodge. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, the film is currently streaming on Netflix. It was released on December 7, 2023.
