James Bond: Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle is likely to helm 25th installment starring Daniel Craig

The much-awaited 25th installment of the James Bond franchise has confirmed Daniel Craig in what he claims is his last time playing the iconic spy but the search for a high profile director has still not ended. With Christopher Nolan also denying being the next Bond flick director, rumours have been flying high in Hollywood town. Speculations are rife that MGM wants the Oscar winning Danny Boyle to helm the project, as reported by Variety. [caption id=“attachment_4349097” align=“alignnone” width=“1280”] Daniel Craig in a still from Casino Royale[/caption] Although Boyle is  reportedly  be keen on the project, he had denied such a possibility back in 2013 with an unequivocal “no” in an interview, as reported by IndieWire. However, Doyle had directed a tasty short for the London Olympics starring Daniel Craig as Bond and the Queen herself, who had even uttered an iconic James Bond dialogue for Boyle. The director, known for Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours, has been a fan favourite for a long time to direct a Bond movie,but is now the Studio favourite too for the job. MGM and Eon had wanted Boyle since the previous two installments, Skyfall  and Spectre, both massive box-office successes directed by Sam Mendes . Mendes had announced that he will not be directing any more Bond movies, sending the studio scurrying for a high profile director again, as reported by Variety. While the next 007 is still an untitled project, there have been reports of the film taking Bond to Croatia and could be titled Shatterhand , based on Raymond Benson’s 2001 novel  Never Dream of Dying__. With Yann Demange, Denis Villeneuve and David Mackenzie also being previous forerunners to helm the 25th  Bond movie, Boyle’s impending answer might be keeping the studio executives up all night.
