Somewhere in the middle of the trailer of Jai Ho, we hear Salman Khan saying, “Aam Admi sota hua sher hai, ungli mat kar, agar jag gaya toh chir phad dega (common man is a sleeping tiger, don’t rub him the wrong way, if he wakes up he will tear you apart).” Please note that the ‘common man’ he is referring to isn’t anyone like you and me. And no one remotely like the aam aadmi’s current poster boy Arvind Kejriwal! Khan’s common man can beat up any number of baddies, blow up cars, smash people’s heads and snarl like a tiger. What leads Khan’s character to take such extreme and violent steps is what Jai Ho is about. [caption id=“attachment_1286021” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]

However, this chain reaction doesn’t pan out well and an evil man played by Danny Denzongpa swears to subdue him. Directed by Sohail Khan, Jai Ho also features Tabu and Genelia D’Souza. Incidentally the title of the film was first decided on as Mental, it was only after Salim Khan’s objection, that it was changed to Jai Ho. The film is a remake of Telugu film Stalin which featured Chiranjeevi in the lead. Watch the trailer of the film here:
