Jagga Jasoos actor Bidisha Bezbaruah commits suicide; husband booked for abetment

Assamese actress and singer Bidisha Bezbaruah, who was last seen in Jagga Jasoos, committed suicide on Monday night, as reported by  Tribuneindia.com. She was found hanging in her sector 43, Gurugram, apartment. Bezbaruah had told her friends and family about her husband’s alleged extra-marital affair and the eventual disturbance it brought into her family life. Her father told Tribune India that he was talking to her on the phone before she took the drastic step. Bezbaruah mentioned to her parents that she wished to divorce her husband, who she had been married to for about 14 months. Her father then called up her husband, Nisheet Jha ( earlier reports stated his name was Nisheet Jain), who is currently residing in Mumbai, asking him to go back to her. However, Jha hung up on him. After this incident, Bezbaruah switched off her phone and allegedly committed suicide. The actress had reportedly been suffering emotionally and often complained of harassment by her in-laws. Her parents, however, never thought she would be compelled to resort to this extreme step. The police have booked Bezbaruah’s husband under abetment to suicide and he has also been asked to cooperate in the investigation, as per the same Tribune India report.
