unanimously dissed the film
for its loose story-telling, clumsy second half and confused portrayal of characters. Audiences too have expressed their disappointment on social media over the film, and channeled their feelings through a range of memes, status updates etc. However, a recent tweet by a viewer highlights the exhaustion and exasperation the Imtiaz Ali film seems to have induced among viewers. Vishal Raghuvanshi, a Pune resident, took to Twitter on Saturday, 5 August, and asked Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs, Govt of India, to rescue him from a screening of the film. Here’s his tweet:
While nobody paid a lot of attention to this tweet initially; it picked up later and was responded to mostly in agreement to his views. So far, there has been no reply from the minister. Swaraj has often been in headlines for responding promptly (and often, wittily) to please tweeted at her.
