Italian star Monica Bellucci praises Pooja Hegde after watching her song from Rajinikanth's 'Coolie,' actress says 'A lot of Tamil fans were...'

The massy megastar Rajinikanth is set to make his grand entry with swag and charm in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial Coolie, which also features Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir and Shruti Haasan with a cameo from Aamir Khan.

The film has received a thunderous response in its advance bookings, and while it is expected to open with humongous numbers globally, it is also expected to take a decent start in its Hindi version in the northern parts of the country, as per trade expert Ramesh Bala.

Amid this, Pooja Hegde has all the reasons to be on cloud nine after her song Monica went viral. And Italian star Monica Bellucci has seen that song and praised the actress and Pooja has spoken about it in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Pooja said, “That’s the biggest compliment ever. I’ve actually really loved Monica Bellucci. She’s so iconic in her own way for her persona. She didn’t need to do much; she has such a unique voice and style. I’m glad she liked it. A lot of Tamil fans were commenting on her Instagram, asking her to watch the Coolie song.”

The actress added, “Monica was one of the toughest songs I’ve shot due to the conditions. It was outdoors, and it was really hot and humid. I looked unfazed, but the steps were heavy. The frames were wide, my hair was loose, and I had to look like I was not sweating even a little bit. It was physically draining and exhausting. I tanned so much at the end of five days.”

Coolie Box-office

When asked whether Aamir Khan’s cameo will help Coolie in the Hindi markets, Bala replied, “Certainly. I think that was the idea, I think. Because Aamir Khan was saying that was the idea, they had earlier wanted to cast even Kamal Haasan in Aamir Khan’s role, but it eventually went to Aamir Khan because they made sure that Nagarjuna from Tollywood, Upendra from Karnataka, Soubin from Kerala, so Aamir Khan from Hindi, like, they have one star each from each major industry. So, I think there is a plan originally. That’s why they cast Aamir Khan in this important role.”
