Though the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Roy did not make a lot of noise at the box office and sank without a trace, it's song 'Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan' topped quite a lot of charts and continues finding a place at every imaginable playlist- from that of a house party, pubs to even a wedding.

Sung by Kanika Kapoor, who also sang the rage of a song called Baby Doll, and composed by Meet Brothers Anjann, the song packs quite a punch. It's peppy and is guaranteed to get you grooving.

However, a Balochi version of the song has been doing the rounds on YouTube recently raising questions of whether Meet Brothers have also fallen prey to this Bollywood trend of getting 'inspired' without giving credit where it's due.

Balochi belongs to the north-western Iranian family of languages and is spoken in the province of Sistan-Baluchestan in southern Iran.

The Balochi version of 'Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan' features a group of three folk singers, with the lead singer being accompanied by an Iranian tanbur, adding a rustic feel to the song and making it more likable and loop-worthy.

Incidentally, the same group of people also featured in an earlier video with their soulful Balochi rendition of a song that sounded exactly like Baby Doll . The video was uploaded on Youtube on 23 November 2014 while the soundtrack of the movie Ragini MMS 2 was released on March 2014.

Baby Doll was also composed by the Meet Brothers Anjann. Now it's not clear who is being inspired by whom. However, if Bollywood's penchant for 'inspiration' is anything to go by, we know who's guilty here.
