'Inferno' trailer: Tom Hanks is back and this time he's literally 'humanity's last hope'

The world’s greatest symbologist (and perhaps the only one, just Google ‘symbologist’) is back and this time around he is literally “humanity’s last hope”. Cue the dramatic music. Tom Hanks is all set to reprise the role of Robert Langdon, the John McClane of symbology circles, in Ron Howard’s Inferno. [caption id=“attachment_2774412” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![Tom Hanks in Inferno. Twitter @infernothemovie](https://images.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/ChzF5a2WUAAhMyH-380.jpg) Tom Hanks in Inferno. Twitter @infernothemovie[/caption] Based on Dan Brown fourth book in the series, following Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code and The Lost Symbol, the story follows Langdon on a trail of clues tied to the poet Dante himself (hence, the title). When he wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to foil a deadly global plot. The film also stars Irrfan Khan as Harry Sims The Provost and Ben Foster as Bertrand Zobrist. The trailer do look more dramatic and action packed then any of its predecessors in the series, but at the same time more cheesy and cliched then before. But with Tom Hanks leading the charge, it is hard to dislike the movie.
