#IndiaSmellsA1DConcert: Here's why a visit to India will be awesome for One Direction

Who knew one hash tag could throw the Indian internet into a tizzy? And all thanks to One Direction’s Liam Payne saying “One Direction” and “India” in one sentence. Recently,  Liam Payne read out a sign board during a recent concert, that said , “One Direction India” and the Indian Directioners have already taken it upon themselves that this means they can make a 1D concert happen in India.

The hashtag #IndiaSmellsA1DConcert has already become one of the top trends on Twitter, with Payne getting a lot of love back for uttering “India”. The hashtag #LiamIndiaSaysHiBack is also trending.

Twitter is flooded with responsible Indian Directioners retweeting these hashtags and working towards making #IndiaSmellsA1Dconcert a worldwide trend, in the hope that the British lads notice them and decide to visit India.

Apparently some Directioners are also writing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make the concert happen.

Whether or not they can bring the objects of their lustful attention to India, if there is one super power Directioners do have, then it’s the ability to make just about anything trend. In the past, they have made hashtags like #21YearsOfSassAndAss and #SongsNiallViolentlyMasturbateTo go viral. Compared to that #IndiaSmellsA1Dconcert is almost staid.

Meanwhile, digging deep into the hormonal heart of India’s One Direction fan club, here’s hardcore evidence of Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson’s India connection.

1. Zayn’s flawless Hindi: Zayn Malik will fit right in and make sure there are no language barriers. Why? Because Malik is half British Pakistani. If you can take your eyes off his perfect smile and long black lashes (sigh! those lashes), please do note that the boy, er, young man, actually speaks better Hindi than Katrina Kaif.

2.Harry Styles’s Bengali side: In case you didn’t know, Harry Styles has an awesome way of folding his tattooed hands into a namaste . Once you have seen it, you might forever give up socialising because no namaste will be good enough for you. However, that’s not all. Styles also loves kurtas that look uncannily like the ones you get at proper Bengali stores, with embroidery around the buttons. Styles was spotted wearing one such kurta with skinny trousers and a fedora at last year’s American Music Awards. See for yourself:

3. Louis Tomlinson’s swag Bhangra moves: Previously, United States President, Barack Obama had tried his hand, or rather foot in Indian dancing . However, Directioners will maintain that no one does bhangra better than Tomlinson and Malik. During 1D day celebration, Tomlinson and Malik performed bhangra with such epic swag that any desi heart worth its tandoori chicken/ paneer would have turned to mush. Not just that, they wore sherwanis. Take a deep breath, find a seat and then, take a look:

Awesome male Indian Directioners:** In other countries, male Directioners may have to think twice before wearing a t-shirt with 1D lads faces on them because let’s face it, 1D is not quite a guy thing internationally. Most pretend that they have been dragged to One Direction concerts by sisters or girlfriends because it is too embarrassing to be seen in a boy band’s concert. However, in India, the male directioners openly flaunt their love for the One Direction lads. Not only do they love singing One Direction songs, but also are unabashed fanboys. We figure One Direction should come to India just for the novelty of seeing men and boys and their concert.
