Eight-year-old dancing prodigy Akshat Singh made the jump from performing on India’s Got Talent to performing on The Ellen Show in the US recently. One of the producers from The Ellen DeGeneres Show invited the young star to appear on the talk show after noticing the viral video of him performing on India’s Got Talent. Image courtesy Youtube[/caption] Singh made his debut on Ellen by entering on a toy motorcycle while dressed in an Indian police outfit, emulating Salman Khan’s Dabangg character. After the music began, the 8-year-old broke out into handstands, flips and his signature pelvic-thrusting dance moves. When asked if he thinks he will win the semifinals, Singh replies in rough English, “I’ve gone to India’s Got Talent to show that ‘motus’ [chubby people] can also dance. I dance every day for three hours, and I eat more,” he joked, drawing loud laughter from the audience. He added a phrase in Hindi, which his translator said was “If there’s no gas in the car, how will the car run?” Singh first appeared on India’s Got Talent, astonishing the celebrity judges with back flips and splits. His number on a medley of songs received a standing ovation from judges Karan Johar, Kirron Kher and Malaika Arora Khan. Watch Akshat’s performance on The Ellen Show below:
