In Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Birthday message for King Charles, Prince Harry is MIA

King Charles III celebrated his 75th birthday on Tuesday, 14 November. On the special occasion, the Prince and Princess of Wales — Prince William and Kate Middleton — shared a heartfelt birthday wish on social media. Taking to their official Instagram account, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a couple of family pictures to wish the king. However, the post got the Internet’s attention for an entirely different reason as fans were too quick to notice the absence of Prince Harry, Meghan, and their children from the family pictures.

While the first picture shows Prince William along with his father King Charles from one of their ski trips, the second one is a single portrait of the King, seemingly from this year’s Trooping the Colour ceremony. Finally, the third one is a family picture including King Charles, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and his children. However, Harry or Meghan are nowhere to be seen in the photos selected for the King’s birthday.

“Wishing His Majesty The King a very happy 75th birthday!”, the post’s caption read.

As soon as the pictures were shared, many took to the comment section and dropped their reactions. A user wrote, “What about Harry, Archie and Lilibet?”, while another one wrote, “That’s just sad to leave out Harry !!! What’s wrong with these people!”

On the other hand, a section of fans also spoke in support of Prince William and slammed those questioning Harry’s absence. One wrote, “Since when was it a rule that when you tell your parents Happy Birthday all your siblings have to be in the photo? Some of y’all are reaching. This is Prince William telling his father Happy Birthday. Prince Harry is welcome to do the same with a photo of just him and the King.”

Such sentiments largely echoed in the comment section, stirring a debate among fans.

For the unversed, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following their resignation as senior royals have been maintaining a distance from the Royal family since then. The Prince on multiple occasions including in his candid memoir ‘Spare’ attracted a lot of attention after he lamented about his family. Many have even drawn the conclusion that it was Meghan’s influence that led Prince Harry to leave his own family.
