Bollywood actors Rajkummar Rao, Vijay Raaz, Triptii Dimri, and Mallika Sherawat are currently in Uttarakhand for the filming of their upcoming project. During the schedule, the team convened with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his official residence, where they delved into discussions around the state’s potential to become a prime filming location. The rendezvous was held on Monday evening.
Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, during his meeting with the ensemble cast of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video including Rajkummar and Triptii, emphasised his government’s endeavours to elevate Uttarakhand as a preferred destination for shooting the various entertainment projects. The Uttarakhand CM even underscored the possible increase in employment opportunities for the local populace.
In the pictures shared by CM Dhami on his Instagram handle, he can be seen presenting a shawl and flower pot to the cast of the film. Accompanying the pictures, he wrote a caption in Hindi which can be translated as, “Popular Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao ji, Vijay Raj ji, actress @triptii_dimri ji @mallikasherawat ji visited government residence. During the meeting, the possibilities of filmmaking in the state were discussed in detail with the artists.”
Coming back to Rajkummar Rao and Triptii’s forthcoming film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, a first-look poster was unveiled by the production team last September. The film is being directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, who rose to prominence with his directorial ventures like Dream Girl and the web series The Great Weddings of Munnes on Voot.
Rajkummar Rao was last seen in the web series Guns and Gulaabs in which he shared the screen space with Dulquer Salmaan, Gulshan Devaiah, and Adarsh Gourav. Apart from the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Rao is all set to portray the iconic freedom fighter Bhagat Singh in an upcoming project. Additionally, he will also be seen in the sequel to Stree and Sharan Sharma’s directorial venture Mr & Mrs Mahi.
On the other hand, Triptii who created a significant impact with her bold scenes in Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor, is loaded with several projects. Beyond her role in Raaj Shaandilyaa’s directorial, she has been roped in for a crucial role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. She will also be seen sharing the spotlight with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk in Bad Newz.
