I'll not be returning for Man Of Steel sequel: Russell Crowe

London: Actor Russell Crowe will not be reprising his role as Superman’s father in the Man Of Steel sequel. The Noah star, who played Jor-El in the 2013 film, was killed off by Michael Shannon’s character General Zod but later appeared as a hologram, guiding Superman to defeat his nemesis. I think they’re jumping onto a different stream. You know, they’re going with the different superhero worlds colliding (this time),” he said. The highly-anticipated blockbuster, which features Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman, is set to hit cinemas in 2016. PTI
