Ilaiyaraaja's daughter Bhavatharini passes away due to cancer, lyricist shares her picture with an emotional tribute

Veteran lyricist and the doyen of Indian cinema Ilaiyaraaja’s daughter Bhavatharini passed away at the age of 47 after battle with cancer. Multiple reports say she was undergoing treatment in Sri Lanka. Ilaiyaraaja shared a picture of himself with his daughter and wrote- ‘Dear daughter’

Members of the fraternity like Kamal Hassan and Anirudh Ravichander also penned their condolences on X after the unfortunate news. Hassan wrote- “Mind blowing. I don’t know what to do with my dear brother Ilayaraja. I grab his hands mentally. Pavadarini’s demise is something that cannot be tolerated or accepted. My brother Ilayaraja should not lose heart in this greatness. My heartfelt condolences to the family of Bhavadharini.”
