Wedding season in India is generally around the months of November-January. However, the TV industry is gearing up for not one, but two high-profile weddings over the months of July and August.
First up is Divyanka Tripathi’s upcoming nuptials with her Yeh Hai Mohabbatein co-star Vivek Dahiya, which will be followed closely by Hunar Hali’s wedding with actor Mayank Gandhi.
Mayank was reportedly in a long-term relationship with TV actress Mihika Varma; however, the couple is believed to have split up earlier this year and Mihika got married to an NRI entrepreneur in April and moved to the US. She also quit her TV show (Yeh Hai Mohabbatein) at the same time.
Pinkvilla broke the news of Hunar and Mayank’s wedding, and shared an image of the couple’s wedding invite.
Hunar was quoted as saying in a Times of India report that it was an arranged match that developed into a romantic one. She has shared that the wedding will take place on 28 August, with a cocktail bash and sangeet planned for the days preceding that.
Meanwhile, Divyanka and Vivek Dahiya’s big date is reported to be 8 July, with the ceremony taking place in the actress’ hometown Bhopal.
Divyanka was in a high-profile relationship with her former co-star, TV actor Ssharad Malhotra for several years before they parted ways last year. She then got engaged to Vivek.
Swaragini star Mohit Abrol is also expected to get married to fiancée Mansi Srivastava (of Sasural Simar Ka fame) soon.
