Housefull 4: Sanjay Dutt, John Abraham likely to join Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh
Housefull 4 will reportedly star Sanjay Dutt, John Abraham, Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh in lead roles. The film will be helmed by Sajid Khan, who has previously directed Housefull and Housefull 2.
Film franchises have become a tried-and-tested trend in Bollywood of late, especially within the comedy genre, with Masti, Golmaal, Dhamaal, Welcome, Yamla Pagla Deewana being some of the most popular ones with a long shelf life. One such franchise happen to be the Sajid Nadiadwala-backed Housefull, which is all set to present another installment titled Housefull 4.
On 27 October, Sajid Nadiadwala took to Twitter and declared the news of this film, which is slated to release during Diwali in 2019. While he chose to keep the names of the final cast members under wraps, a Mid-Day report suggests that Sanjay Dutt and John Abraham have been reportedly roped in for the film. They will be seen along with the Housefull regulars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh.
The report further suggests that Dutt will be seen in a pivotal and intense role in the film. Apart from Dutt and Abraham (he was part of Housefull 2), a superstar from the south Indian film industry is also reportedly going to feature in the comedy film. Chunkey Pandey and Boman Irani will continue their stint in the franchise as well.
The eliminations from the fourth film include Abhishek Bachchan (who was seen in Housefull 3) and Jacqueline Fernandez (a regular in the film franchise).
Sajid Khan, who had directed the first two films — Housefull and Housefull 2 — but later opted out of the franchise owing to a spat with Nadiadwala over creative differences, will return as a director. He recently spoke about how he regretted having fought Nadiadwala; they shared a 17-year-long friendship prior to their fall-out.
Amid all this speculation, there hasn't been any official confirmation by the makers regarding the cast of the film.
The seers alleged that Bollywood artistes consume alcohol, eat meat and involve in immoral activities due to which they can never represent pious characters of the Ramayana.
