So you are the kind who likes to appreciate goodlooking boys. So that your commitment to the cause remains unwavering, God made Enrique Iglesius, who after a drink at least seems like a hugely satisfying singer too. And so as to not seem entirely racist and shower charm on men in the West, he also made Ranbir Kapoor closer home. Who doesn’t need to sing to make girls in our country dance to his tunes. He just needs to exist. Now, what happens when you mix the two up? You’d imagine something so hot that you’d feel slightly like a chicken on a tandoor in Delhi summer. Phew! Play a mash up of Enrique songs and Ranbir Kapoor’s hits and dance to it. We’d suggest Bailamos and Balam Pichkari (see how it makes alliteration lovers happy too!), but that Enrique song is at least a century old so to say. So the next thing could be his popular dance number Tonight I’m Lovin You. The Balam Pichkari bit remains unchanged. And Dilliwali Girlfriend gets thrown in as a bonus. You only just need to send out the party invites now. Okay, now don’t come running to hug us in joy. All that affection should be directed at the sweet boys of Penn Masala, the cappella group with students from University of Pennsylvania. They are the superior party music planners who have come up with their mash up of the mentioned songs, with some fantastic beat boxing added to bowl you over. So, this isn’t the first time they have managed to leave us Bollywood nerds completely smitten. Remember the awesome ‘Evolution of Bollywood Music’ video they came up with last year, just to convince you that a viral video necessarily doesn’t need a precocious cat or a traumatised baby. The world’s first South Asian cappella group, Penn Masala has also come out with a few albums over the years. Chances are, you are most likely to find your favourite Bollywood song covered by the group. In fact, they have made sure none of the recent hits are missed out. So from Tum Hi Ho to Manwaa Lage, they have done it all. The new video is sleekly produced with all the tell-tale signs of a successful bubble gum pop song video - you know it has a guy in a skull cap and a hot African-origin girl busting a few sexy moves. And apna desi boys, matching steps with them. Also, remember they all go to an Ivy League university, so are most likely to spell well. Now there, boys with good grammar and great love for Bollywood music. That’s wow in a sentence for some people, isn’t it? Here’s the video.
