'Hate Story 3' de-sexed: The word ‘Sambhog’ has been deleted from the film

Those who are hoping to see a lot of steamy elements in the third installment of the Hate Story franchise in offer helmed by director Vishal Pandya are sure to be disappointed now. Whatever erotic elements thus far pepped up the film, Hate Story 3, say its trailers and the teasers, to secure its opening day or the opening weekend, have been substantially reduced by the censor board.

It’s the same old story, but with a twist. All the f..ks and ‘behenc..ds’ had to go from the sexed-up film. Curiously the censor board has also done away with ‘sambhog’, the Sanskrit/Hindi word for sex.

Says a source, “It was a scene where Karan Singh Grover expresses a desire to have sex with Zareen Khan. The censor board objected to the word.”

Says a source from the censor board, “Very often such sexy films show a lot of skin and smutty language in the promos for the internet. But when they bring the films to us they do away with all the dirt voluntarily. Hate Story 3 came to us with quite a lot of voluntary cuts.”
