Fuelling further anticipations around the cast of the film, several reports suggest that Amitabh Bachchan is also likely to come on board to play the role of King Dashrath in the movie. Besides, Sai Pallavi has been roped to play the goddess Sita. Notably, she replaced Alia Bhatt to bag the role in the film. The stellar cast got bigger after KGF star Yash’s entry to play the demon king Ravana and Sunny Deol’s reported confirmation to essay the role of Hanuman. The actor, as per the source, went for a look test, and a photoshoot was also held which impressed everyone from the team. The director wants him to keep it simple and minimalistic with a lean avatar for the portrayal of Lord Ram instead of gaining extra muscle. Meanwhile, Ranbir is going above and beyond to add perfection to the character. The _Animal_ actor will undergo voice and diction training to make sure that he sounds different from what he has done in the past films. India Today, earlier this month, quoted a source as saying, “Ranbir has a certain baritone and a way of speaking his lines. It is symbolic and if you have even closed your eyes, you can recognise a dialogue purely based on Ranbir’s voice. In ‘Ramayana’, Nitesh wants to make sure Ranbir sounds different from the characters he’s played in the past. Being a versatile actor, Ranbir is enjoying this process of trying something new.” Notably, Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is expected to go on floors this year.
