Aamir Khan was last seen in Advait Chandan’s directorial Laal Singh Chaddha. After the film failed to perform at the box office, Mr Perfectionist decided to take a break from work saying that as he has been working continuously for the last couple of years, he wishes to spend time with his family. Ever since then, a lot of speculations regarding his next project have been doing rounds. If the rumours are to be believed, Aamir Khan will be seen headlining the biopic on the life of the special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. Avinash Arun On Ujjwal Nikam’s Biopic The yet-to-be-titled drama will be made under the direction of Avinash Arun, who talked about the biopic during a recent interaction with The Indian Express. The filmmaker revealed that the venture is at a very initial stage right now and hence there is not much concrete about the movie. He said, “I don’t know how that news came out because it truly is at a very initial discussion phase. It’s too soon to talk about it. I have a few thoughts, but nothing is concrete, nothing has materialised yet. Things are in the air right now." When asked if Aamir Khan will be leading the film, Avinash Arun said that it is all in the clouds for now. The director added that he would be extremely elated if the biopic is made as he finds the subject interesting. In the meantime, Aamir Khan was slated to play the protagonist in the Hindi remake of the Spanish film, Champions. However, Mr Perfectionist stepped down from the film as the actor. Nevertheless, he is still associated with the movie as the producer. Farhan Akhtar has been roped in as the lead for the much-awaited drama.
On the other hand, Aamir Khan will produce Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore featuring Sunny Deol in a lead role. It remains to be seen when the biopic on Ujjwal Nikam is officially announced.
