Harvey Weinstein row: Paz de la Huerta alleges movie mogul raped her twice in 2010

Los Angeles: Actress Paz de la Huerta has alleged that disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein raped her twice in 2010. The first instance, de la Huerta said, was in November of 2010. Weinstein allegedly offered her a ride home to her apartment, where he demanded to come inside and have a drink. She said Weinstein then started to kiss her, and after she tried to brush him away, he pushed her onto the bed. “I felt afraid. It wasn’t consensual. It happened very quickly.” De la Huerta said. The actor said the second assault happened a month later, in December. When asked about de la Huertas allegations, Brendan Ryan of the New York Police Department (NYPD) told Variety in a statement, “We are aware of the sexual assault complaints. We are actively investigating them. The NYPD continues to work with the Manhattan District Attorneys office on the case. The investigation is on-going.” De la Huerta joins dozens of women who have come out against Weinstein alleging sexual harassment or assault.
