Prince Harry once said that without public-paid security, he will not bring wife Meghan, or his two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, to his home country.

He still according to reports published in ‘Mirror’ pays a private security team to protect him when he comes to the UK. Despite that he’s argued that they don’t have access to the proper intelligence, or hold the right jurisdiction that will ensure the safety of his family. So, the question is, whether Meghan is risking it all for relevance.

According to Daily Mail columnist Sarah Vine, “UK return could lead to a massive pay day for Meghan by boosting her royal status and, as a result, the success of her jam brand As Ever. Vine claimed that “after nearly six years in America, the royal fairy dust is finally wearing off.”

The commentator added that Meghan “needs to re-up on that magic. She needs to remind the world of who her in-laws are, to stay relevant and, more importantly, to stay commercial.”

How coming to UK, can be a high risk move for Meghan

PR to the stars Mayah Riaz had to say, “Her commercial power has always been strongest in the US, where the royal association already works as shorthand for global status. American audiences do not need to see her on British soil to be reminded she married into the Royal Family. That story is already baked into her brand.”

Mayah further added, “A UK visit would not automatically equal positive brand lift. In fact, I believe it would be high risk, high noise. The UK media landscape is far less forgiving, and any return would be dissected frame by frame. For Meghan, a visit would likely reignite old narratives rather than create new ones. From a PR standpoint, that is rarely a smart trade.”

On the other hand, according to a report, King Charles is considering extending an olive branch to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by offering them the use of Highgrove House, his cherished country estate in Gloucestershire, should they travel to the UK later this year. The gesture, described as a thoughtful opportunity for privacy and comfort, comes amid plans for Harry and Meghan to attend events linked to the  2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
