Although it was Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, that was her debut film, it was Vikram Bhatt's action film Ghulam that made Rani Mukherji  popular.
Rani Mukherji won many hearts with her portrayal of Tina in Karan Johar's directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Despite a Kajol-Shahrukh pairing, Rani managed to grab eyeballs.
Rani Mukherji played the role of Suhani in YRF's Saathiya. The film was a huge commercial success and it won Rani  Critics Award for Best Actress.
Rani Mukherji and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chalte Chalte had a good run at the box office. Rani was also nominated in Filmfare Award for Best Actress category.
Rani Mukerji won the Filmfare Award for the best supporting actress for her role of  Shashi Biswas in Yuva.

Rani delivered a terrific performance as a blind and deaf woman, In Bhansali's 2005 film, Black. She not only won Filmfare Award for Best Actress  but also bagged Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
Rani Mukherji played the lead along with Salman Khan in a movie about widow remarriage, Baabul.
Rani Mukherji won the Filmfare Award for best supporting actress for her portrayal of a journalist, Meera Gaity in No One Killed Jessica.
