First went Maude Flanders and more recently Edna Flanders. In between them Bleeding Gums Murphy, Frank Grimes, Homer’s mother and the woman he married while drunk in Vegas with Ned. So who’s going to meet their end in the season premiere of Season 26 of The Simpsons? Called ‘The Yellow Wedding’, the show’s creators have already promised that it will be a bigger deal than the Games of Thrones episode that it seems to have drawn its inspiration, and have also hinted at who it could be. “The character that dies is portrayed by an actor who won an Emmy for playing that character,” executive producer of the show Al Jean has said. Screengrab from clip of Simpsons.[/caption] Hank Azaria who voices Apu, Moe, Chief Wiggum, Comic Book Guy and Doctor Nick Riveira has already declared that none of his characters are dying, which then turns the spotlight on other award winning characters. While some believe its time for Grampa Abe Simpson to finally leave, others also believe its time for Homer’s drinking buddy Barney Gumble to have his last beer in the sky. Fat Tony could lose his accomplice Louie or horror of horrors, it could even be Krusty the Clown (ha ha ha, no really). Or Krusty’s father Rabbi Hyman Krustofski (far more acceptable). The Guardian seems to have plumped for Sideshow Bob, who has been trying to kill Bart for sometime now, and could finally meet his end in a manner as gruesome as he has been planning for the Simpson. Any way whoever dies is unlikely to meet as gruesome an end as Joffrey did in the Game of Thrones, but it’s definitely going to be even more surprising, given there’s no book to give the plot away.
The Simpsons have said that they will kill off a character in the premiere of Season 26. Who can it be?
