It’s an exciting lineup, but like every year, there were a few artists who made the coveted list Friday and a few who didn’t. Snubs and surprises are in no short supply in 2026.

The 2026 Grammy Awards will air Feb. 1 live on CBS and Paramount+ from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Sitarist Anoushka Shankar received two nominations this year, including Best Global Music Album for Chapter III: We Return to Light, featuring Alam Khan and Sarathy Korwar. The trio was also nominated for Best Global Music Performance for Daybreak.

Priyanka Chopra congratulated the musician on her Instagram story by captioning this- “Just queen energy. Congratulations.” Shankar has been nominated at the Grammys a staggering 11 times.

Charu Suri

The next name is that of Charu Suri, an Indo-American jazz composer and pianist known for her style of blending Indian ragas with jazz, who has been nominated for her album Shayan.

Siddhant Bhatia

The third name is that of Siddhant Bhatia, who has been nominated for his Sounds of Kumbha, featuring 12 songs, with 50 global artistes, and is dedicated to the Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj.

Talking about the honour with Hindustan Times, Bhatia said, “It’s a very joyous moment for the entire country, as we created the album for the Mahakumbh. It showcases our culture, tradition, and heritage – and now the entire world is knowing about it. The nomination and global recognition for the album is a very big win for our spirituality.”

The composer added, “Rooted in Indian culture, it’s a global album where we have Sanskrit, Hindi, and English. I like capturing the sound in its natural habitat. We captured temple bells, the river, and the atmosphere when the festival started around Makar Sankranti in a spiritually charged environment.”
