While the divorce rumours of Govinda and Sunita Ahuja continue to garner headlines, their lawyer and family friend Lalit Bindal revealed that even though the couple filed for divorce 6 months back, they are now ‘going strong’ and will always ‘be together’.
“We also travelled to Nepal during the New Year and performed puja together at Pashupati Nath Mandir. Everything is fine between them now. Such things keep happening between couples, but they are going strong and will always be together," Lalit told India Today.
“Like when she said mujhe Govinda jaisa pati nahi chaiye (I don’t want Govinda as my husband in next birth), she did add that she wanted a son like him. Or when she said that he was with his own valentine, she meant he was working. It is unfortunate that people are only talking negatively about them when the couple is together, and I can assure that they will always be. No divorce is going to happen," he added.
Govinda also reacted to the divorce rumours this morning and told ETimes, “These are only business talks going…I am in the process of starting my films,". On the other hand, the actor’s manager Sashi Sinha quoted, “There have been issues between the couple due to certain statements made by certain members from the family. There is nothing more to it and Govinda is in process of starting a film for which artists are visiting our office. We are trying to resolve it."
Last month, Sunita revealed that she and Govinda are living separately, which left fans shocked and disappointed. “We have two houses, we have a bungalow opposite our apartment. I have my temple and my kids in the flat. We live in the flat whereas he gets late after his meetings. He loves talking so he’ll gather 10 people and sit chatting with them. Whereas me, my son and my daughter live together, but we hardly talk because I feel if you end up wasting your energy by talking too much," said Sunita while talking to Pinkvilla Hindi Rush.
