Girls just wanna have fun: Jacqueline, Nargis Fakhri, Lisa Haydon are Bollywood's new bffs

It’s difficult to keep track of growing internet lingo. It was fine as long we were just abbreviating stuff (IMO, FFS, STFU and suchlike) but now we’re taking hashtags to new levels. The latest one to completely take our fascination is #squadgoals. Nobody knows its origin, but #squadgoals came to public attention with pictures of international internet-favourites like Taylor Swift or Beyoncé. Squad goals can be used to define an aspiration of what you would like your group of friends to be. For example, the famous Ellen Degeneres selfie with Meryl Streep, Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt and others could definitely use the term #squadgoals. It was a billion dollar selfie, after all. And so, back in India, we found a group of girls that would aptly define the term. Meet Bollywood’s new bffs — Lisa Haydon, Nargis Fakhri and Jacqueline Fernandez:All three actresses, who are sharing screen space in the third installment of Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull, which also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Ritiesh Deshmukh, have been flooding their Instagram feed with selfies of themselves having a blast in London, where the film is being shot. Funnily enough, the cast and crew had serious doubts about whether the three girls would get along considering none of them spoke Hindi very well, and had to take lessons for the film. Now that’s some turnaround.

One of the reasons why this self-acclaimed girl gang is a breath of fresh air is because for too long now we’ve read reports of contemporary actresses and their competitive spirit (read: petty tiffs). Be it Deepika and Kangana, or Kareena and Priyanka, and even all the way back to Madhuri and Sridevi — the age old stereotype is that Bollywood heroines can never be friends. Looks like these three don’t really care too much about that:
