George Clooney to narrate upcoming documentary Never Stop Dreaming: The Life and Legacy of Shimon Peres
A documentary feature on Israel's Nobel Peace Prize winning president Shimon Peres is in the works and Hollywood A-lister George Clooney has been roped in to do the narration of the film, according to a report published in Variety.
The documentary is being made under the banner of Moriah Films which has a long list of biographies and documentaries to its credit. Moriah Films is the film division of the Simon Wiesenthal Division and the Peres documentary happens to be the 16th outing of the organisation.
Variety also mentions that the 92-year-old Peres had approached Moriah Films and asked them to make a documentary on his life, nine months before he passed away in 2016. The Peres documentary — Never Stop Dreaming — features interviews of former US presidents — Bill Clinton, George W Bush, Barrack Obama, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and renowned American singer Barbra Streisand.
Speaking about the upcoming documentary, director Richard Trank said to Variety, "We deferred production on our documentary about David Ben-Gurion to start working on Never Stop Dreaming. We wound up with about 50 hours of footage of Shimon and I was struck by how he wanted to keep learning. He said that dreams are what kept him young," reports Variety.
Never Stop Dreaming: The Life and Legacy of Shimon Peres is slated to release on 28 September, commemorating Peres' death anniversary.
