Everyone is pretty chuffed about the new season of the Game of Thrones, and more so with the fact that the first four episodes are up for download: illegally. The questions that usually buzz in the heads of GoT fans once the series is on air, are doing the rounds again. [caption id=“attachment_2195756” align=“alignleft” width=“511”]
Screen grab[/caption] Do you know everything there is to know about Westeros? Are you a Tyrion sympathizer or a Cersei fan? Did you skip dinner the day Mountain crushed Oberyn to death? Actually, don’t bother answering those questions because you may consider yourself the world’s foremost expert on King’s Landing but sadly you’re not the biggest fan. That award goes to John Giovanazzi, a bar owner from Glendale, California who reportedly serves a “Game of Thrones’ beer on tap at his bar. So when the guys at “Super-Fan Builds’ heard about him, they came up with the most awesome gift idea ever. The American web series, which has a group of Hollywood prop-makers build replicas of props used in popular films and television series for their greatest fans, decided to build a toilet seat modelled after the much-coveted Iron Throne for Giovanazzi.
CNet reports
, “The Iron Throne shell is installed over a functioning toilet in Giovanazzi’s bar with a conveniently placed sword hilt acting as a toilet-paper holder. Even the toilet seat is painted to blend in with the metallic look of the majestic seat.” Gizmodo reports that the ‘Iron Throne’ shell has been placed on a functioning toilet in Giovanazzi’s bar and has been made out of 250 fake swords. “Made from over 250 fake swords (do you really want the real sharp and pointy things on a toilet?) this Iron Throne is also protected with marine-grade water sealant to ensure that whatever happens to it can be easily cleaned off,”
the Gizmodo report states
. The design team has been led by renowned builder Tim Baker. Watch the video here:
